Final Run!:Here are all of the dates to close the school year:
Sunday, 5 May – 10:15 a.m. Senior Luncheon, Mass at St. Joseph’s Chapel & Luncheon at Parr O’Club
Monday, 6 May – 7 p.m. Junior Class Commissioning Mass.
We hope to have all juniors and their parents attend this Mass. At the Mass at St. Joseph’s, we recognize the junior class, and commission them as the new seniors of the school and the leaders of the student body. Juniors who ordered a ring receive it that evening, and there is a blessing of some item (which is blessed and presented to the student. The current senior class attends the Mass as well, and presents a small gift on behalf of the school to each junior.
Following the Mass, there is a reception in the cafeteria (cake and punch, and time for photos).
Monday, 13 May – 7 p.m. Letter Night and Awards Night.
Note that we had initially planned to have this annual event on Friday, 10 May and then Saturday, 11 May. Those dates conflict with the state track meet (and many other activities of a normal May). As we have checked with our coaches and moderators and others, this was the date the best reschedule date. We will not be serving a meal as a part of this, and move right into the program. It will be held on campus in the cafeteria.
This will be an evening to recognize all student activities, athletics, and senior awards.
AP Exams – Mrs. Strickland and our teachers have communicated with and worked with the students to be ready to take those exams in the first two weeks of May. It is vastly important that students taking those exams arrive on time and ready to go. Wed., 8 May – 8 a.m. Calculus AB Thursday, 9 May – 8 a.m. English Literature, noon – Latin Friday, 10 May – 8 a.m. English Language, noon - Statistics Wed., 15 May – 8 a.m. US History
Graduation – Saturday, 18 May 2013 – 12:30 p.m. Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation. Please make every effort to attend – ALL CLASSES, ALL FAMILIES! Holy Trinity Parish.
Monday, 20 May – 6:45 p.m. – Mandatory sophomore and junior parent meeting.
In order to communicate with all parents integral components of the college advising process, we are asking that all families send a representative to a mandatory meeting on Monday, 20 May. We will meet as a group first, and then break out into two different sessions. Mr. Iliff will speak with sophomore parents about the college selection process and then next fifteen months (of college visits and discerning the right list of five colleges to apply for admission). Mrs. Strickland will speak with the next senior class about opening college applications, the process over the next eight months.
