25^th Anniversary Dinner Tickets!: Have you bought your table or tickets to the Mass and Dinner celebrating the 25^th Anniversary of the Papal Visit to Texas? We are sixteen days away, and we are still in need of filling the room. Have you forwarded the email to friends and family? Have you kept the event in your prayers? Don't miss this important event on Wednesday, 12 September 2012.

School Photos next Wednesday: We will be using a new photo service – Sam’s Photography – this year, and they will be taking photos of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors on Wednesday, 5 September in the morning. Sam’s will be set up by 7:15, and begin taking photos as students come in. They will take photos through the rest of the first hour of the day. Once the photos are ready (about a week), they will have a proof and an order packet to send home. Sam’s does all of the high schools in Comal County.
They will also be taking the athletic team photos. A pricing envelope will be sent home with each athlete a week prior to the respective picture day; money & envelope to be turned in on that day.
• Monday, 10 September - 4:10 p.m. - football team & individual pictures
• Monday, 17 September - 4 p.m. - volleyball team & individual pictures
• Thursday, 27 September - 4 p.m. - cross country team & individual pictures
Senior photos will be taken on Wednesday, 17 October, with graduation gowns and hats, etc., using Sam’s.

Taco Thursday: A great hit! We sold out of all 100 tacos, and will order 115 this week. Parents, remember – we serve free coffee in the parent room on Thursday mornings. Follow that, a group of parents lead a time of prayer for students. All are welcome! A great idea: Stop in and buy tacos for your office!

First monthly All Parent Meeting: Monday, 10 September – 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. Mr. Iliff will have a number of updates, and Mrs. Strickland will have a college counseling update as well.

Football scrimmage: This week, the team will have their final scrimmage on Thursday, 30 August – 6 p.m. at Shelton Sports Complex. The season opener will be the following Thursday, 6 September 2012, 7:30 p.m., again at Shelton Sports Complex, vs. Giddings.

Cross country: This week morning, Saturday, 1 September, the team opens their season at the Southwest meet (meet site is Loop 1604 and Old Pearsall Road). Good luck to our girls and boys teams!

No school on Friday or Monday!: Reminders: we are off on Friday, 31 August this week for teacher professional development, and on Monday for Labor Day!

One-act play update: TAPPS has added one-act play as an official TAPPS event. It is scheduled for the fall, and on Sat., 8 September, we will be attending a state-wide meeting to learn more about how they plan to run this competition. The dates are set. A regional event will take place on Friday-Saturday, 19 - 20 October, with the top teams moving on to state competitions on 30 Nov - 1 Dec.
