Our Liturgical choir is made up of students of all grade levels with all levels of experience. Anyone is welcome to join the choir. The choir sings and/or plays various instruments at JPII weekly Mass as well as other events such as the Archdiocesan Christmas Concert, Catholic Schools Week Mass, and Graduation. The Ministry is named after the motto of St. John Paul II, "Totus Tuus" meaning "Totally Thine."
Creative Writing Club is a place for students to explore and share their creative talents. Students meet once a week to write short stories or poems that are eventually published in the school’s literary magazine The Guardian Chronicles. All students are welcome to join!
Being in our fourth year of playing music, SJPII Drumline is only growing bigger and playing louder. We show our school pride by performing at football and basketball games, march parades, play at school and Archdiocese galas, and we also inspire our youth by playing for middle schools. The best part about our drumline is that you do not need any musical experience if you want to play!
Pro-Life Club The mission of the pro-life club is to promote the sanctity of life from conception to natural death through prayer, service, and education. Each year the pro-life club provides the school with pro-life opportunities and activities. One of the big ones is the Rally for Life in Austin in January.
Robotics Team is a TAPPS technology team that focuses on computer technologies and engineering focused projects. Within robotics we study a vast spectrum of technologies such as coding, networking, programming and building. We are working to compete in TAPPS robotics meets later in the year.
Faith and love on campus: The SJPII Rosary Club is a student-led group aiming to deepen our relationship with the Blessed Mother. Every week students meet to tie rosaries, learn about the prayers behind each knot, and pray together as a group in the St. Michael's Chapel. The hundreds of rosaries contributed by the group are offered freely to members of the school community, as well as charitable organizations and local retreats. The Rosary Club aims to extend our activities to service projects and minor campus retreats.
One Act Play is our theatre program at SJPII. We will direct a play in the spring and perform it at St. John Paul II as well as compete in the TAPPS One Act Play Championships during the school year. There are many different roles available on and off stage.
