In 2012-2013, Health will be taught collectively to juniors and sophomores in fall semester. (Last year, the course was taught only to juniors.) This combination will allow us a better use of our teaching resources. Sophomores will then have the chance to start their Fine Arts work in the spring, through Studio Art I.
For Sophomores, there are few discretionary choices in course selection. For most students, Latin II and Spanish II are the next steps, and with Health and Studio Arts, along with the five core courses, the seven periods are filled.
CORE COURSES FOR SOPHOMORES

Physics I is a new course within our curriculum. The course is a basic, conceptual Physic class, with Algebra as the highest math level needed for the course. Physics I will cover all of the curriculum standards within a high school Physics course. For those students in upper math track, in the Junior year, there is a Pre-AP Physics class that has higher level math included and covers the same curriculum standards in greater depth.
